Well, its only a couple of weeks until I leave Adelaide and make my way across the country to end up in Melbourne nine days later. I cant wait!
There have been lots of things going on for me lately, on and off the bike and ill try and catch you up on some of them now.
Work for me has been a little slow over the last few months, so its given me some extra time to train and put a bunch of fundraising ideas into action.
We recently had our annual Tour de Cure High Tea. It was a great success as always! Thank you to all who came along and gave their support. This event would not be the same without you. We managed to raise a massive $3,000 over the two tea sittings. Thats a great result! Despite the rainy weather, everyone seemed to have a great time and we are already getting requests for the next one.
We look forward to seeing you there next year.
I am currently finalising some details for a Tour de Cure Trivia Night that Jodi (another TdC rider) and I are hosting. Details can be found here on the events page: Trivia Night Details
Lock in Saturday the 18th April 2015 because this is turning out to be a fun filled night with plenty of prizes, raffles, food, drinks, auctions, music and entertainment for all. We would love for you join us and please bring along a friend or a whole table of friends for a trivia blast! :)
In the past few years, I have developed a great relationship with a local Australian bike manufacturer and brand, REID Cycles. These guys have been fantastic to me over the time I have been riding with Tour de Cure and I send a huge thank you to the REID family for their continuing support!
Stay tuned for some awesome raffle prizes coming your way very soon!!!
I guess the biggest news that has happened since I last blogged, would be that my Wife, Stephanie, is pregnant with our first child. Its very exciting times for both of us & our families and we cant wait to meet the newest member of the Morris family.
As per normal, please send this blog onto friends and family to help get the Tour de Cure message out there. Don't forget to subscribe on the right hand side of this page to receive all blog updates to your email. As normal, there will be a daily blog post each day I am on tour and you can also follow my GPS tracking data live if you wish.
