The day before tour is always full of excitement, happy familiar faces, worried new faces, people madly running everywhere making sure all things tour are in order. I didn't realise how many people were going to be on the tour team this year...
We have about 150 people traveling with us for the whole nine days this year and there will also be another 45 riders joining us for 2 days of riding.
Thats a lot of peeps on the road for Tour de Cure! Its going to look awesome!
A small group of us managed to get out on the road this morning and spin the legs over. Its definitely a lot colder than the temperature I left in Brissie! Ill be putting some extra layers on in the morning.
Speaking of tomorrow morning... we have a 4:30am leave time from the hotel to be at breakfast 12kms away. Chanel 7 Sunrise are once again following the tour with Mark Beretta and James Tobin presenting and updating the viewers on where we are and what we are up to. So don't forget to look for us on TV in the mornings! :)
Tomorrow we ride 109kms from Adelaide to Victor Harbour. I cant wait to arrive in Victor Harbour and have some memories come back to me from my very first Tour de Cure experience. Its a very pretty part of the world.
As you can see from the photo above, the Signature Tour team for 2015 have so far raised over 1.5 million dollars! Thats a fantastic effort! But... we have not reached our goal yet. By the time we arrive in Melbourne, we plan to have raised 2.2 million dollars or more! You can help make this happen by sharing what Tour de Cure are doing, sharing my blog and website and asking people to donate and share with their friends and family also.
Tomorrow is day one and I'm going to try and get a good amount of sleep tonight. Its 10pm, so I think I will tun in for the night.
I'll talk to you tomorrow!
