Big Week, Coffee & Markets!

Wow! What a big week!

Along with a bit of rain, a massive hay fever attack and the flu, I managed to get just under 500kms ridden on the bike last week. The next couple of weeks are going to be my biggest training weeks before tour in March. Lots of kms and lots of climbing ahead. I am in for some definite pain.

A few things that have been happening lately;

I have been in contact with a local Hervey Bay Market Manager (Ross) who runs the Pier Park Family Markets. I will be attending the Pier Park Markets on Saturday 15th February to do some fund raising for TdC. If you are in Hervey Bay, then come along and say hi.

Ross has also contacted a local coffee shop who I will be speaking with on the weekend about doing some co-promoting. Stay tuned for more details.

Sunday saw me meet up with a good Mate who has recently opened his own coffee shop at Nundah. The Power Station Coffee shop is located in the Nundah Village on Aspinall Street.

If you want to try some of the best coffee in Brisbane, go and say hi to Danny and let him know that I sent you. And the food that Danny’s wife makes for the shop just tops it all off!

Awesome Coffee and toasties for breakfast!

I rode out to the coffee shop for their once a month Sunday shop ride. A great group of people and really good turn out from all over the Brissy.

The boys from the Cobra 9 race team, lead the way and kept the tempo for us. It was good chatting to them about their recent move into the bigger racing leagues. I wish them all the best!

Danny has recently sponsored the Cobra 9 team and I look forward to watching how they go throughout the 2014 race calendar. I look forward to riding with them again soon.

Donations have been coming in at a nice, steady pace lately. I thank everyone who has donated to me so far, the support has been fantastic! I have now passed the $6,500 mark!
