With more than 600,000 charities currently operating in Australia, it is very easy to realise why raising money for a good cause can be super difficult! Having been involved with charity work nearly my whole life, I find it hard to say no to donating or supporting a worthy cause or organisation. But unfortunately we can’t support them all. I love hearing about charities and organisations that I know nothing about and hearing what they are doing to help the world out.
Today I had a great chat to a Dutch man, who is very passionate about the organisation he is supporting. Arion is raising money for an organisation called WSPA. (World Society for the Protection of Animals) If you have not heard of these guys before and love animals like I do, they are worth looking up and reading about. WSPA are doing some amazing things around the world to help animals in, lets say, less than poor situations. WSPA Website
"The World Society for the Protection of Animals exists to tackle animal cruelty across the globe. We work directly with animals and with the people and organisations that can ensure animals are treated with respect and compassion."
"Our vision: a world where animal welfare matters and animal cruelty has ended."
I am in no way wanting to take the interest away from what my blog is all about or what I am raising money for, but I also think it’s very important to acknowledge the great work that other people are doing in the world so that their good deeds may overcome the evil situations life around the world has encountered or been forced into.
